Dr. Cicely Jefferson
Cicely is a native of Dallas, Texas and grew up in the inner-city where she was raised by a single mom. At the age of 12, Cicely accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and on March 18, 2015, she was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Concord Church under the leadership of Dr. Bryan L. Carter where she has been a member since 2000. She is a servant, scholar, mentor, professor, preacher, teacher, and lawyer.
God has blessed Cicely to graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and Administration, from Texas Tech University with a Master of Business Administration and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, and from Dallas Baptist University (DBU) with a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies. She is also a proud member of the prestigious sorority of Alpha Kappa Alpha.
Her career has been an adventure with God because he has provided opportunities to practice law, serve in full-time ministry as a Connections Pastor at Concord, and currently serve as an Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor at DBU. She has received several invitations to teach and preach at conferences and retreats. Cicely enjoys mentoring young women and feels called to invest in the next generation. She co-leads a small group for high school freshman girls and mentors young adult women at her church and female students at DBU. She is a proud auntie of two nieces, two grandnieces, and two Goddaughters.
