Sis. Janice marie (nee pullen) Dailey

Janice Marie is one of 13 children of Rev. Samuel and Bessie Pullen of Alexandria, Louisiana. Sis. Dailey has been married for 47 years to Dr. Jerry Wm. Dailey, Pastor of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. The Dailey’s have three daughters, Joy Marie (George) Jasmine Noelle (Anthony) and Jeri Nicole; And 6 grandchildren.

While attending Peabody Sr. High School in Alexandria, Louisiana, she excelled academically as a member of the Honor Society; Senior Class Vice-President; Member of the Student Council; part of the Yearbook Staff and as a member of the school choir.

Sis. Dailey matriculated at historic Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. Her stellar college stay was highlighted by being named to the Dean’s List (1969-1972) and being selected to “Who’s Who Among Students” in American Universities & Colleges (1970-1972.) She graduated “Cum Laude” with academic distinction in May 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. While at Bishop, she honed her musical gift with the Ministers’ Lyceum Choir.

Actively involved in ministry, she has facilitated at the WMU Annual Prayer Retreat and the Ministers’ Wives class at the San Antonio Baptist Ministers’ Union Church Institute and Revival. Sis. ‘D’ has assisted in the past as Registrar participant for the San Antonio City-Wide Church Institute and participated in the San Antonio City-Wide Revival Choir.

Her service to God and the Macedonia Church continue, as a faithful and dedicated soprano in the Sanctuary Choir and Women’s Chorus. She is a devoted teacher of God’s word in a Women’s Fulfillment Hour class (Sunday Bible Study) and as a small group Bible Study facilitator.

Sis. Dailey encourages, inspires, nourishes and builds up other women in their Christian walk at Macedonia, San Antonio Sister Churches, across Texas and beyond as a gifted motivational speaker. Sis. Dailey has been employed as a Substitute Teacher from 1988 to this current time in San Antonio‘s Northside Independent School District.

Her accomplishments include the completion of Southern Methodist University (SMU) Seminar for Women Executives in 1975 and being named one of the Outstanding Women of America of 1976. Sis. D’s affiliations includes; Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority; San Antonio chapter of Ministers’ Wives and Widows International; Correspondence Secretary of the Ministers’ Wives conference of the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc.; San Antonio Interdenominational Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows.
